Frequently Asked Questions
Photo Etching:
The quality of the etching is determined by the quality of the photograph. Although we may be able to remove minor scratches and stains from older photos prior to etching, we can’t do much for a photo that is blurry or has poor resolution. Please make sure your photo meets the following criteria:
- Your pet’s face is at least the size of a quarter in the photograph
- The photo is well focused
- Your pet’s face is not obstructed by any object
What type of photographs work best?
Original photographs in their original sizes are preferable. Black & white or color photos will work. Either way, the photo will engrave in grayscale.
Can I send more than one photo if I’m not sure which one will be best?
Absolutely! If you can’t make a decision on which photo to send for the etching, we can pick one for you. Only one photo will be used for each item however.
Can the photo I submit contain people and objects in it?
Yes, as long as we can see your pet’s face clearly. We will remove any objects or people surrounding your pet unless you indicate otherwise in the special instructions section on your order form.
Do you make memorials for people as well as pets?
People commonly request to have one of our items customized for a person instead of their pet. We are happy to customize any of our products using photographs or sentiments for people instead.
How do I send you the photo?
You can send us your photo(s) via email to photos@remembermypet.net. Your photo must be attached as a JPEG file. Please include your confirmation number, and product ordered in the subject of the email. Or, you may mail the photo to the following address along with a printed version of your order form:

Will my photograph be returned if I mail it?
Yes, your photo will be returned with your order. Please write your pet’s name and order number on the back. You may also wish to use photo mailers or write “do not bend” on your envelope and include a piece of cardboard to make sure your photo arrives to us safely. We will also return any photo disks that are mailed to us.
Is the etching permanent?
The photo etching will last as long as the item it is etched on. It will not “rub off” or fade away. Granite photo etchings are even suitable for outdoor placement.
Is custom etching available on other items?
Yes, we welcome any custom job, no matter the size. If you looking for one of our items in a different size, or something different entirely please contact us at info@remembermypet.net and we will be happy to provide you with a estimate specific to your project.
When will my item ship?
After we receive your photograph and/or engraving information, it takes approximately 3-5 business days for your item to ship. You can expect your item to arrive within 2 weeks or less.
Will you ship outside the United States?
Unfortunately we can only offer free shipping inside the 48 continental U.S. States. We will however ship anywhere in the world. Please contact us for quote on shipping costs before placing your order.
Can my item be returned?
We inspect each product that leaves our warehouse closely, and we’re confident you will be happy with your purchase. However, you may contact us within 30 days if you are not 100% satisfied with your order. We will work with you by either replacing the product or refunding your money. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
